Turkey
In April of 2012, we spent 8 days in Turkey dividing our time between Istanbul and Selcuk where we visited the Roman ruins at Ephesus.
In Istanbul we stayed in two different locations; the old town of Sultanhamet and the newer part of town in Beyoglu which allowed us to explore different parts of the city. The food in Turkey is excellent and we ate splendidly. We also visited as many markets as possible.
The sightseeing is spectacular; centuries old mosques and churches, ferries on the Bosphorus, palaces and ancient Roman ruins. We could not ask for more, except to go back again.
